We may not be publishing doujins this month (some of the staff are spending the holidays alone (me)), but we can still post Aikatsu! music! But how was your Christmas, by the way?
Aikatsu! On Parade is a mixed bag for me, to be honest. Sometimes it’s about two people trying to catch their overly excited selfish dog running around, or the anime is a theme park ride where they throw in 3 CGI music scenes and tease you with our favorite characters passing by, or the lack of Aoi in every episode makes the show less fun to watch. Either way, though, the music is still on point.
Sing a Song Sympathy! is a collection of 3 new songs from the anime and they’re very great, especially Future Jewel. If you’re wondering, no, the new songs for Ichigo, Akari, and Yume weren’t performed by their voice actors like Aine, Mio, Maika, Ema, and the rest of the Aikatsu Friends! cast. Waka, Ruka, and Sena returns to sing the new songs and it’s nice to see them perform Aikatsu! songs again.
